Penang Trip 2008

My internet speed is slow as a bit*h these days and my baby's internet is down. So, here's the late update on our Penang trip!

Day 1

This is the snake driver, Chuah Chun Hoong driving. He starts driving out from KL to start our journey back to Penang.

Me resting while waiting for my turn to drive.

Finally we stopped at a rest area to answer mother nature's call. BUT after a while of resuming the journey, Chun Hoong had another BIGGER mother nature's call to answer =.=. I have to fly up to 140 km/h to find a rest area in order to avoid him polluting my car. We named him PANG SAI King after the Penang trip because he can Pang 4-5 times a day... Amazing!!

Luckily Chun Hoong managed to hold his anus tight (ewww) and we're back on journey. We spotted this BMW (whatever series cause it doesn't matter) with uncles inside. Look carefully at the picture to spot all the light bulbs, so shiny~! LOL

This pic is taken by baby because she said she was too bored. Thanks to Chin Kwok and Me for listening to Westlife songsssSSSSSSss all the way. Through the whole journey until we reached, Chun Hoong went to toilet for the BIG ONE for a few times, 3 i think?

We reached finally after the 4.5 hours journey. We went to eat Duck Egg Char Koay Yeow before going back to my granny's house. Hmmm... Yummy, miss it so much. It was FANTASTIC. Well, the two beautiful kids are my niece and nephew.

Baby's turn to take picture with them.
We rested at home after the long journey and went out to eat with my family for dinner.

After dinner we went to Queensbay Mall for a walk. Here's one of the picture taken with 'nicholas' =P (Nicholas, you are everywhere in Penang, how can we don't miss u? hehe..)

Another pic taken outside of Queensbay mall. Christmas decoration obviously, a lil' early huh?
After Queensbay, we went back to play cards and tidur.

Day 2

We start the second day with a beautiful bowl of kuey chiap. I guess this speciality is only found i Penang and is one of the all time favourites. It is it Pan Mee but more translucent inside herb soup with pig organs. Tastes really good. For those who wants to try, go to Air Itam market in the morning (MORNING, if you're late then you may have to wait for the next day) or go to Asia Cafe in Penang.

All of us enjoying our Kuey Chiap. The place is a little old, a typical Penang market hawker place.

Chun Hoong is mumbering there:'Fai di la!'
After the fabulous meal, we went to Sleeping Buddha Temple.

At night, we went to Tesco shopping. It was raining like crazy and it was flooded. Then we went to Al Khaleel mamak to eat. The food there sucks!!

This is the little devil tiger Kai Fung, so cute!!

Arhh!! Michael Jackson!! After we back home, Michael said that he can hear Kai Fung's voice when he sleep... really sound like Michael Jackson... hahaha

Day 3

On day 3, we visited Penang Hill.

This is the 'train' to bring us up to Penang Hill.

On the way up. This is the view down.

The train is so crowded and hot. i don't think its meant for so many people..

Chun Hoong, Chin Kwok and Me

Another view from the ride.

These pics were taken on the 'half' hill. AND guess who we met there!?

TADA!! That's.. Shin Shin!! I mean the pic below.. :P (shuang must be laughing now)

Look how cute she is! But the weather is really hot.. she looks hot!
Group photo TAKE 1!! Aiya.. people not in the centre. Take again!Okay!! Perfect! Nic, jealous? keke

Jason Senior and Jason Junior. That's Shuang's bro aka Shin Shin's dad.

After Penang Hill, we went back to granny's house. And chor tai ti AGAIN. HELP! Become addicted liao!! LOL.. then we went to Gold Coast Resort to swim..

Where's Chun Hoong??!??

Oh, below the aeroplane.. haha

At night, we went to the so called 'night market' which has nothing to eat (thanks to Michael Jackson). The only interesting thing over there is this The Ship Restaurant.

After that we went to eat dinner at Goodall Food Court. Then, we went back to sleep.

Day 4
The next morning, we went to my cousin's coffee shop to eat the famous New World Park ice kacang.

After makan-ing, we went to karaoke at Gurney Plaza. These are a few pictures.

Britney Tan Chin Kwok doing his thing!

Group photo in da room.

Half group photo at the reception.
After going back to rest, we went to eat dinner again with my family at a Chinese restaurant at New World Park.

Chun Hoong transformed from Digi man into a Tree man.

The food (makan edi, sorry lah, too hungry). haha..

Family. From left: Barbara Tan (Jason Tan's wife), Shuang's mum, granny, Shin Shin, Jason and Shuang

After makan, we went to Shuang's hotel. Then, Shuang's bro invited us to go to the Lounge to 'sit'. So, we went.. and drank.. and listened to music. This is what happened...... (WARNING: 18SX Pics coming, real HARDCORE)

P/S: These pics were taken by Baby, the only one who was not drunk ..... after vomitting

The Last Day

This is the final day in Penang. We went out to buy biscuits at Him Heang after eating breakfast.

The ex-tallest building in Malaysia - Komtar.

While looking for the way to Penang bridge, we got lost and ended up at Bangkok Lane. So, this is the Bangkok Lane's famous Mee Goreng! Not bad but hard to find parking there.

We finally decided to take the ferry across to the main land. This is the view of Penang bridge from the ferry.

Such a beautiful view!

Then we stopped at Ipoh to eat the Ipoh Chicken Rice with bean sprouts. Not bad but not as nice as expected.

This is a very interesting menu at the Chicken Rice restaurant. The circled should mean Soya Bean drink (Tau Cheong Sui). But it wrote Tau Ching Sui, which means Bean Sperm drink =.=

After tired of driving, i leave the driving to Chun Hoong and rest with baby until we reach KL.
Miss Penang sooo much.. miss Fung Fung and Kai Yan soo much!

Took me the whole day to make this post. FINALLY ITS DONE!!
